EVCLBoxSparrow >> Service >> Electrical >> EVCL Box IntroThe EVCL is a circuit board under the hood of a Sparrow that performs various low-voltage functions. It controls the brake lights, the ignition, the seat belt buzzer and isolated power for the Link-10 meter. (The isolation is really crappy, though.) It is enclosed in black (or beige) plastic and it sits near the brake master cylinder, usually stuck to the fender with adhesive Velcro, at least on hatchback Sparrows. Here's a picture for anybody trying to find it. The raw, unenclosed circuit boards in the picture are Rudman MkIIB battery regulators, which were not standard equipment, but just happen to be in this picture. |
